Are your socials COOL and FREE? We've gathered up a list of COOL FREE SOCIAL MEDIA used by VeryImportantPeople to communicate with each other.
The requisite for being on this list is the protocol and/or software must be simultaneously COOL1 and FREE2. Anything not on this list must be assumed as UncoolNonfreeSocials.
It must be approved by, and ideally used by a majority of VeryImportantPeople. UnCOOL socials tend to be spearheaded by the WrongPeople. Common features of UNCOOL socials include suppression of FreeSpeech and FreeAssociation, and excessive presence of moderators who DoItForFree.↩
For something based on a protocol, that protocol should be FREE and OPEN. As for client software, it should always be FreeSoftware, regardless of the underlying protocol.↩
