A form of CupNoodles consisting of Chinese-style fried noodles in a rich, savory soup. This soup usually consists of a soy sauce based broth, though countless varieties and spices are used. Dried toppings consisting of seafood, vegetables, soy protein, or meat are also common.
Nissin Foods leader, Momofuku Ando, is the inventory of cup ramen, as well as instant noodles at-large. He was inspired to create these products after suffering hunger in WorldWarIi and seeing starvation devastate the lives around him. He said as much as his motivation to invent cup noodles was to solve world hunger: this dream began to be realized by Indonesian company Indomie, king of halal YakiSobas (and cheaper than Nissin, to boot.)
