CupNoodles

A very common form of InstantFood which consists of dried noodles (usually fried) to which hot water is usually added. Differentiated from other InstantNoodles by the packaging format of a cup, bowl, or tray for all-in-one preparation and consumption.

Nissin Foods leader, Momofuku Ando, is the inventory of cup ramen, as well as instant noodles at-large. He was inspired to create these products after suffering hunger in WorldWarIi and seeing starvation devastate the lives around him. After sales began to rise, his savory treat would soon become a trusted friend of NEETs worldwide. He said as much as his motivation to invent cup noodles was to solve world hunger: this dream began to be realized by Indonesian company IndoMie, king of halal CupYakisobas (and cheaper than Nissin, to boot.)

Various types are available in commercial supermarkets, among them CupRamen, CupYakisoba, CupUdon, CupSomen.
