TaterTots

Tater Tots are a 10/10 classic GikoFood.

For this recipe, you'll need a pot full of oil (for deep frying), a couple potatoes, a potato peeler, and various spicers. You will also need a food processor -- the kind you can "pulse" to chop up things.

  1. Heat up fry oil on the stovetop
  2. Peel potatoes
  3. Chop them into roughly 1" chunks
  4. Wash/agitate the chunks in a bowl of cold water for roughly 15 seconds
  5. Dry chunks while fry oil continues heating up
  6. Throw chunks into hot oil for ~8 minutes until slightly browned -- you only want to partially cook them, and mainly drive the water out here
  7. Drain chunks on paper towels and let cool ; lower heat on fry oil
  8. After potato chunks have cooled for ~10-15 minutes, pulse them in small batches in the food processor -- maybe 7-10 one second pulses until lightly and roughly "processed"
  9. With a subtle touch, mix spices, salt, pepper, starch, and maybe some sugar with your "processed" potato jumble in a large bowl
  10. Make small nuggety potato portions
  11. Deep fry your tater tots until golden brown and delicious
