The Sageru Academy first opened its doors in September 1996. The SageruOrganization was later founded to maintain and support it. Its founder, Dr. MeltingWax, envisioned a world where every African could gain a quality technical education, whether in the skill and art of BbCode, treating AIDS, or even furthering RocketScience.
It enjoys a friendly rivalry with GoatseAcademy.
Perhaps the most notable alumni is ArchDuke, finishing his Bachelors of Science, focus: Markup languages with honors at the age of 15.
