A simple GikoFood recipe for delicious, relatively healthy homemade candy with minimal effort.
- Grab some fruits and berries (apples, pears, mangos, grapes, etc)
- Chop em and blend em good, use water or wine or juice to help them blend better
- Cook the fruit sauce on stovetop on a low heat, stirring often, until most of the water is gone and you have a very thick paste
- Optionally add some lemon juice, sugar, 0cal sweetener, or honey for improved results
- Put some wax paper in a baking tray
- Smear the fruit paste over the parchment paper in an even layer
- Drop the pan on a table or floor a few times to help the paste really even out
- In the oven as low as it can go, door cracked, until very dry (5-10 hours)
- Peel from paper, cut up, put in a jar, throw in the fridge
